Mission of the role
The SHEQ Officer is responsible for safeguarding employees, visitors, and the environment by minimizing workplace hazards and reducing environmental impact. This role ensures compliance with legal and quality standards, promoting a safe and efficient working environment. Key duties include maintaining compliance documentation, managing regulatory reporting for incidents and claims, and compiling monthly SHEQ performance reports to support continuous improvement.
Your mission Risk Assessments: Identify workplace hazards and evaluate risks to prevent accidents. Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular site walkabouts to ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and internal SOPs. Incident Investigations: Lead investigations into accidents, near-misses, and injuries, and prepare comprehensive reports to prevent recurrence.
