Site Engineering Manager – Overview
Unilever is hiring a Site Engineering Manager in Durban to lead engineering maintenance and projects across utilities, production lines, processing plants and buildings. The role aims to drive operational excellence, improve asset reliability, and support sustainable site infrastructure while ensuring safety and quality compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deploy the Professional Maintenance pillar within the Unilever Manufacturing System (UMS), driving asset reliability, maintainability, and cost efficiency with a zero‑breakdown ambition.
- Manage technical and maintenance teams to deliver projects, innovation, infrastructure, and site services.
- Support innovation implementation by identifying optimal design solutions aligned with USCC and category technology standards.
