The Lung and Sleep Center is seeking dependable, patient focused individuals to join our sleep lab.
Medical Assistant/Ancillary Technician
- Travel between clinics and cross training will be required
- Greet patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures
- Perform pulmonary function tests, nebulizer treatments, pulmonary stress tests and allergy testing following training and established protocols
- Schedule procedures, treatments, and follow-up care
- Accurately document all patient interactions, procedures, and results in the EMR (eClinicalWorks) in a timely manner
- Process referrals and coordinate care as needed
- Send orders, prescriptions, and messages as directed by providers
- Demonstrate understanding of medical terminology, diagnoses, and CPT coding
- Follow all infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines
