**Job Title: Steel Slitter Machine Operator – 2nd Shift**
**Job Description**
This role operates and assists with precision steel coil slitting equipment in a heavy industrial steel processing center. You will set up and run slitter machines, measure and inspect material using precision tools, handle steel coils and sheets, and ensure safe, accurate, and efficient production on a 2nd shift schedule.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate and assist with steel slitter machines to process steel coils into precise widths within tight tolerances.
+ Use micrometers, calipers, and tape measures to perform accurate measurements on steel coils and sheets throughout the production process.
+ Feed strips of steel into the recoiler and monitor the line to maintain proper tracking of steel during processing.
+ Set up and change out slitter heads, including configuring slitter heads for specific jobs and ensuring correct tooling alignment.
