An SLP Assistant supports Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering therapy services aimed at improving communication and swallowing disorders. This role involves assisting with therapy sessions, preparing materials, monitoring progress, and maintaining accurate records to help patients meet their communication goals efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologists with therapy activities and exercises
- Prepare and organize therapy materials and equipment
- Monitor student progress and document observations
- Support communication with students and families regarding therapy plans
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to established protocols
- Provide direct therapy services under the direction of an SLP.
- Data collection and reporting (to SLP) for individual speech and language goals
