Responsibilities
Responsible independently or under supervision of senior sonographer to perform all sonography imagery procedures, analyze output and report to supervisor as needed. Maintain sufficient inventory of material supplies and equipment for performance of duties; report shortage of materials to supervisor at earliest convenience and keep records for ordering and replenishments. Perform all ultrasound imagery procedures in accordance with department policies, procedures and protocols. Apply detailed knowledge of anatomy and physiology to produce high diagnostic quality images. Perform related radiography special procedures as required. Evaluate and assess ultrasound images produced for acceptable quality, appropriateness and completeness, and advise other staff when required. Forward images to radiologist for review and reporting.
