Ultrasound Technician

Responsible for following the office protocol and guidelines, the technological performance, reporting and billing of all pelvic ultrasounds, obstetrical ultrasounds as well as sonohysterogram, IUD insertions.

1. Review ultrasound schedule, gather needed patient medical information and referring information for scheduled ultrasound.
2. Order ultrasound in Athena to open communication between ultrasound equipment and Athena.
3. Bring patient to the ultrasound room and explain the ultrasound and/or ultrasound procedure to be performed to patient.
4. Prepare the patient and room for the ultrasound and/or ultrasound procedure.
5. Perform the ultrasound and/or ultrasound procedure ensuring all needed images, measurements, and doppler samples are captured.
