Overview
We are a learning support organisation headquartered in Greymouth, and we’re looking for a dedicated Special Education Adviser. The role is permanent and full‑time, and involves supporting children and young people with complex educational and behavioural needs across the region.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a trans‑disciplinary team to meet a child’s complex needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, caregivers and whānau to enhance understanding of the child and their behaviours.
- Develop, implement and monitor a personalised learning plan.
- Assist adults around the child to adapt the learning environment for safer and more effective behaviour management.
- Support the child to develop pro‑social responses and enhance participation, wellbeing and learning outcomes.
