Job Summary
The Special Procedures Technologist performs invasive procedures in partnership with the interventional radiologist, responsible for patient assessment, education pre- and post procedure, safe care, and monitoring during procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients and educate them pre- and post-procedure.
- Monitor patient safety and care during procedures.
- Safely administer radiation and contrast dosing.
- Process images and maintain regulatory documentation.
- Operate and maintain vascular C‑arm equipment to capture correct imaging.
- Apply and maintain up-to-date knowledge of radiation protection and safety practices.
- Assist in preparing and positioning patients for procedures.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in interventional radiology preferred.
