Consultant Psychiatrist – Public Hospital Setting
Location: Whangārei, New Zealand
Employment Type: Permanent (1 January 2027 – 31 December 2027)
Salary: $200,000 – $350,000 per annum
About the Role
An excellent opportunity is available for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join a well-established mental health service in Whangārei. You will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team providing high-quality psychiatric care across inpatient and/or community settings.
Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive mental health assessments, developing and overseeing treatment plans, and contributing to clinical leadership within the service. You will also play an important role in supervising junior doctors, supporting allied health teams, and contributing to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
