Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter – Crane Specialist to support the development of PNG national maintenance capability at a large mining operation in the Papua New Guinea highlands.
You will work alongside national technicians, providing hands-on coaching, mentoring and technical guidance to lift safety, quality and maintenance standards over the long term.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach, mentor and develop PNG national mobile maintenance technicians
- Provide technical guidance and quality assurance on maintenance execution
- Act as a visible role model for safe work practices and high standards
- Support diagnostics and fault finding when required
- Identify skill gaps and recurring technical issues
- Contribute to continuous improvement, reliability and defect elimination initiatives
