We are excited to announce a newly created role to lead and deliver the specialist pharmacy services for patients receiving mavacamten (and other myosin inhibitors as they become licensed) for treatment of obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) at OUH and to work within the network to set up and support hub and spoke services for provision of mavacamten with regional centres.
The post holder will provide expert clinical pharmaceutical care to support the safe prescribing and monitoring of mavacamten and other myosin inhibitors. The role will include prescribing, medicines optimisation, clinical monitoring, patient counselling, service development, education and contribution to local and national governance frameworks relating to high-cost specialist medicines for cardiomyopathy.
