About the Role
Working as part of the HR Operations team, and reporting to the Director, Payroll, the Payroll Specialist will assist in processing and distributing payrolls for 1,200+ employees in 21 total pay groups across North America.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately and efficiently process payroll, which will require understanding, interpreting and applying tax laws and government regulations to payroll and benefit deductions, incentive compensation and retirement funding;Review payroll transactions for completeness and reasonability;Research and investigate payroll discrepancies;Prepare special payments, complex pay and payroll deduction calculations;Manage and maintain timely compliance for payroll, legal and tax reporting filings;Support and assist with payroll-related SOX procedures and internal audits, ensuring payroll processes are in line with controls;Respond to inf...
