Required Qualifications
Applicants must hold the proper educational credentials, certifications, and experience to serve as Speech/Language Pathologist Assistant for Jacksonville School District #117 or alternatives approved by the Board of Education. Minimum requirements include:
- Completion of a two-year IDFPR-approved program in speech‑language pathology assisting to qualify for a speech‑language assistant license.
- Successful passage of the licensure test and payment of the application fee.
- A valid speech‑language pathology assistant license, required in any Illinois setting.
- Completion of 10 hours of continuing education every two years (renewal cycle).
