Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Minimum of Speech and Language Pathology certificate issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission or CCC-SLP Certification from ASHA.
2. Minimum of Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
3. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as a resource to school staff members in the development of a balanced program for oral communication and speech improvement. Provides a therapeutic program to meet individual needs of speech and hearing handicapped children. Assists and guides teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified speech and language impairments.
