Responsibilities
- Responsible for purchase and/or sourcing process, RFQ and cost data, for production and development within an agreed and defined strategy in support of cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Responsible for supplier setup, including necessary approvals in compliance with company standards.
- Manage price books and cost variances.
- Support standard cost‑roll activities.
- Analyze demand and pricing to set appropriate order quantities and batch sizes.
- Support Design activities and execute related plans.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and develop strategies to realize savings.
- Lead or support the implementation of cost reduction initiatives.
- Work with potential suppliers and the program team to identify opportunities to reduce weight and cost, and address quality issues.
