Insight Global is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer to join a telecommunications client in Kanata, ON.
This individual will support the design and development of advanced FPGA solutions for packet-optical platform products, owning full lifecycle responsibilities from design through validation while collaborating cross-functionally with hardware, software, and verification teams.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 8+ years of experience as an FPGA/ASIC design engineer with a Bachelor’s in Engineering or equivalent
- Strong experience managing large, complex FPGA designs (area/timing constraints)
- Advanced RTL design experience (Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog)
- Experience with FPGA tools (Vivado, Quartus) and back-end design constraints
- Expertise in clock domain crossing and IP integration
- Experience with interface and transport protocols (Ethernet, OTN, PCIe, SPI, I2C, MDIO)
