Join our team as a Sr. Fuel Tax Accountant, where you’ll play a key role in keeping our organization compliant and financially strong. In this collaborative role, you’ll manage state and local fuel tax filings, partner with cross-functional teams, support audits, and help shape smart tax strategies in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
*Salary range: $50k - $69k based on experience
Responsibilities
+ Prepare, review and file monthly, quarterly and annual fuel tax filings in compliance with multiple regulatory agencies
+ Analyze state and local fuel tax laws, advise on new product/service taxability, and support effective tax strategies
+ Assist with fuel audit requests, gather documentation, and coordination
+ Research and communicate issues to store accounting, fuel accounting and help desk to ensure accurate collection and accounting for fuel tax accruals and related ledger activity
