Job Description

Do you love building scalable backend systems that power real-world products? We’re looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team at Ahoy and help us design secure, reliable, and high-performance platforms.

What you’ll do
  • Build and maintain production-ready backend services
  • Design APIs and ensure system scalability & performance
  • Work with Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, Cognito, etc.)
  • Collaborate with product, design, and cross‑functional teams
  • Ensure quality through TDD, CI/CD, and clean architecture
What we’re looking for
  • 4+ years of backend development (Node.js/TypeScript)
  • Strong experience with AWS and microservices
  • Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, REST/GraphQL APIs
  • Passion for clean, maintainable, and secure code
  • Startup or fast-paced environment experience is a plus
