Job Overview
Accountable for providing professional nursing care to patients within a hospital unit, adhering to hospital policies and nursing services principles to ensure high‑quality care.
Responsibilities
- Ensure nursing care vision, mission, goals, and procedures align with the scope of services.
- Notify the unit manager of any changes affecting standards of care.
- Collaborate with the unit manager to support the smooth operation of the Operation Theatre (OT) and Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD).
- Prepare OT rooms, including damp‑dusting, verifying gas supplies, and preparing trolleys and standby items.
- Coordinate with ward staff to guarantee timely patient arrival at OT, optimizing OT utilization.
- Implement Patient Safety Goals: identify patients, prepare for procedures, check patient details, and refer abnormalities to the surgeon and anesthetist.
