Job Description
A Static Equipment Design Engineer specializes in the design, analysis, and specification of non-rotating equipment like pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and reactors, primarily for oil & gas and petrochemical industries. Key tasks include creating mechanical datasheets, performing FEA, ensuring ASME/API code compliance, and preparing technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Analysis:
Perform thermal-hydraulic calculations, mechanical design analysis, and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) on pressure vessels and exchangers.
Documentation:
Generate detailed engineering drawings (GA drawings), technical specs, material requisitions, and mechanical datasheets.
Compliance:
Ensure all equipment meets international codes and standards (ASME Section VIII Div 1/2, API 650, TEMA, BS PD 5500, IS STD.).
