Responsibilities
Control every aspect of port operations, including scheduling of vessels, stevedore coordination, and cargo loading and unloading.
Check for compliance with industry norms, safety laws, and company policies.
Establish and maintain relationships with port authorities, municipal officials, and other relevant parties.
Monitor and assess port performance, identify areas that require improvement, and implement the appropriate measures.
Control and optimise travel expenses while accounting for other operating expenses and the cost of bunker supplies.
Collaborate with various divisions, including finance and logistics, to ensure efficient planning and correspondence.
Offer technical guidance and support to ship crews during the loading and unloading process.
Ensure that port performance and activities are reported accurately and on schedule.
