Governance Lawyer
Salary - £52,413 - £56,730 (Grade 8)
Hours - 37 hours per week
Contract type - full time, permanent
Qualified solicitor or barrister or relevant chartered status of a professional body or equivalent high‑level experience of involved practices.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and high‑performing in‑house Governance Team. You will be required to provide support to the Deputy Director of Governance on constitutional and governance matters. You will also provide legal advice to other clients to both internal and external client departments across a wide range of governance‑related areas, working closely with the Monitoring/Deputy Monitoring Officer to ensure that decisions are made lawfully and in accordance with both legislation and the Council’s internal rules.
