Duties
- Determine the flight test program necessary for aircraft certification approval.
- Act as a test‑pilot flight crew member to conduct flight tests for certification and audit manufacturers’ production standards.
- Develop new regulations and advisory material for flight test techniques required for new aircraft, systems, or features lacking existing material.
- Review qualifications and make specialist recommendations for ministerial delegation to individuals and organizations for design‑approval flight testing of aeronautical products.
