Overview
Expleo require an Analysis Engineer to support stress analysis of aerostructures. The candidate is required to be capable, flexible, and to be able to work independently to assess both composite and metallic design solutions using a variety classical stress methods and finite element analysis.
Responsibilities
- Be able to conduct a variety of stress analysis on both composite and metallic structures including general strength analysis, stiffness assessments, buckling and stability strength, fastener and joint strength, standard composite strength analysis of both sandwich and thermoset composite panels, composite damage tolerance analysis of open hole strength and compression-after-impact strength.
- Have a good understanding of structural design (e.g. Wingbox) including understanding load and stiffness requirements, design of load interfaces such as flap and moveable surfaces and wingbox to fuselage connections
