/Duties
  • Under the general supervision of the Lead Custodian, a Custodial Student Assistant work with the custodial and grounds professional staff or independently on the weekend. The Custodial and Grounds position receive extensive training in safety measures that are relevant to the job duties and must demonstrate the knowledge of these trainings to work effectively in a safe manner.

    Duties include but are not limited to: Assist department staff with deep cleaning to prepare units for move-in and summer conference programs.
    Deep clean kitchen and appliances.
    Vacuum, dust, clean surfaces and other general housekeeping.
    Clean and maintain windows, screens and doorways.
    Assist with carpet and upholstery cleaning, and stripping and waxing vinyl flooring.
    Assist department staff with routine grounds maintenance and landscaping such as sweeping, blowing, and pressure washing walkways.
