Function of Position:
Supervising Dentist for Distance Dental Hygiene Programs, Part-Time Hourly, Semester-by- Semester Appointment.
+ Provides General Supervision for dental hygiene services as stated in 61.9 b under the NYS OP-Ed, Practice of dental hygiene.
+ Provides Personal Supervision for dental hygiene services as stated in 61.9 c under the NYS OP-Ed, Practice of dental hygiene.
+ Substitutes for other supervising dentists as personal schedule allows.
Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Provides diagnostic, consultive, and referral services with guidance from clinical coordinators.
+ Evaluates patient medical and dental history, periodontal charting, and restorative charting.
