GENERAL SUMMARY:
Supervises, directs, and coordinates the activities of the technical, ancillary personnel and students assigned to the division(s) of responsibility. May perform Technologist duties within the division as necessary.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs supervisor duties such as:
+ Interviews, hires, discharges, or makes authoritative recommendations with regard to the hiring or discharging of subordinate employees.
+ Plans work schedules and assigns work based on the availability of personnel, workload, and employee competency.
+ Evaluates employee performance, recommends pay increases, handles disputes, and takes disciplinary action as requires.
+ Keeps records, logs, etc. and prepares reports and budgets for leadership use.
+ Resolves problems and complaints regarding divisional services or activities.
