Job Description
Supervisor (Dry Goods) – Montague Gardens, Cape Town.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise packing, storage, and handling of dry goods in the dry store.
- Oversee truck offloading and ensure efficient stock movement and workflow.
- Manage and coordinate daily tasks for stock pickers and team members.
- Assist with daily planning of stock picking for production and deliveries.
- Support planning of incoming stock and work-in-progress storage.
- Ensure FIFO stock rotation and accurate batch/lot identification.
- Maintain correct stock segregation, labelling, and storage standards.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
- Enforce housekeeping, waste reduction, and cleanliness standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and health & safety requirements.
- Train new staff on dry store processes and procedures.
