Job Description
TITLE: Supervisor of Special Services
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pursuant to the overall supervision and direction of the Director of Pupil Personnel Services, the Supervisor of Special Services shall be fully responsible for the following:
+ Assure compliance with state and federal laws pertaining to education, Commissioner’s regulations, Board of Education policies, regulations of the Superintendent of Schools, and the requirements of the negotiated contracts with school personnel.
+ Serve as Chairperson of the Committee on Special Education (CSE) and/or the Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) for students as assigned by the Director of Pupil Personnel Services.
+ Ensure compliance with all aspects of the functioning of the Committee on Special Education and/or the Committee on Preschool Special Education, including the following:
+ Ensure preparation of agendas and schedules for all applicable CSE and/or CPSE meetings<...
