Learn more about this authority at: Direct Hire Authority This Supervisory Wildland Firefighter position is with the US Wildland Fire Service, GW-0456-8 working in the following location: Porter, Indiana Responsibilities As a Supervisory Wildland Firefighter your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Supervises regularly assigned firefighters and may provide situational leadership and supervision for additional firefighters based on the fire assignment. Performs administrative program management functions such as planning; budget execution; stewardship of physical facilities, equipment, vehicles, and accountable property; development and implementation of training and development programs; and implementation of cooperative agreements.
