Location: Hospital-Based Neurosurgery Program
Start Date: April 15, 2026
Duration: 1 Year with Option to Extend
Schedule & Setting
- Monday Friday
- No required call
- Optional call available
- Mix of OR support, inpatient rounding, and perioperative patient care
Patient Volume & Case Mix
- Approximately 5 7 surgeries per week
- Case mix includes:
- 80% Spine Surgery
- 20% Cranial Neurosurgery
- Patient census varies based on elective surgery schedule
- ICU patients typically managed through consult service
Clinical Responsibilities
- First assist in neurosurgical procedures
- Assist with spine and cranial surgical cases
- Perform minor bedside procedures including wound suturing and wound aspirations
