Job Description

Locum Tenens Opportunity: Neurosurgeon

Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Facility: Level II Trauma Center
Schedule: 7-8 consecutive days/nights of 24-hour call shifts
Practice Setting: Adult inpatient, trauma, and elective neurosurgery
️ Neurosurgeons on Staff: 4
EMR: EPIC

Patient Demographic:

  • Adults only

OR & Team Support:

  • Dedicated Neuro-Ortho surgery team

  • APP support for all cases

Typical Caseload:

  • Average 1 surgical case/day

Required Procedures & Skills:

  • Cranial Burr Holes

  • Intracranial Pressure Monitor insertion & management

  • Intracranial Hemorrhage management

  • Tumor Removal

  • Bleed Control ...
