General Summary: The Physician Assistant II will work in a team structure to provide the following:
1.Perform the duties of the surgical PA
2. Provide surgical assistance in the operating room as assigned by the PA Coordinator/designee. Perform daily post-operative rounds and follow-up with the attending surgeon. Perform admission history and physical examinations, daily progress notes, daily orders, and discharge summaries for patients admitted to them by the attending surgeon. Evaluate patients in the Emergency Center and on the surgical floor at the request of the attending surgeon.
3. The PA will write history and physical exams, orders, daily progress notes, and facilitate/coordinate care of the patient as requested by the supervising physician. The PA may dictate discharge, transfer and death summaries, and write transfer orders and pre...
