Job Description
Performs scrub nurse duties and participates as a member of the surgical team, as directed. Assists Registered Nurse in the nursing care of surgery patients.
Job Responsibility
+ * Prepares Operating Room for each surgical procedure as per OR policy and procedure.
+ * Sets up and maintains surgical equipment including: autoclave, ESU, Hypo/Hyperthermia Blanket, Athrombic Pump, CO2 Insufflator and System 1 Processor.
+ * Ensures OR is supplied with appropriate instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment necessary for each surgical procedure.Assists with preparation and maintenance of instruments processed in Central Sterile Processing.
+ * Ensures equipment is functioning properly prior to use and informs management of equipment malfunctions.
