Objective

The Party Chief is responsible for the managing the activities of a survey party throughout various job locations. The Party Chief provides highly technical support and insight to project management for heavy civil projects.

Job Duties

  • Utilize survey equipment and manage others to locate, review, and research job locations
  • Operations include identifying landmarks, physical objects, and significant land changes that would affect the required survey Supervise survey work, evaluate priorities, and coordinate work efforts
  • Review the standard of work being performed and derive necessary field calculations from work completed
  • Utilize and provide training for survey instruments and equipment
  • Ensures that angles, distance, and information are accurate and conform to regulations and standards
