POSITION TYPE TERM (16 Weeks), SUMMER, PART-TIME
The SWEEP program requires a mentor support staff to help supervise youth, assist the organization with its spring clean-up, summer planting, yard maintenance, dump runs, and various other duties as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises clients within the SWEEP work program.Ensure all customers are greeted in a professional and courteous manner.Basic gardening.Maintain health and safety standards in work areas.Teach youth how to safely use tools and equipment.Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.Mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edgers.Evaluates, records, and reports client progress as well as assess the personal and social development of each program participant.Role models excell...
