Job Description
We are seeking a SAFETY SYSTEMS ENGINEER to support the assessment, control and assurance of safety risks associated with electromagnetic fields (EMF), radiofrequency (RF) exposure, radiation protection and environmental protection within regulated defence and engineering environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and manage personnel exposure to RF and electromagnetic fields in accordance with STANAG 2345 and ICNIRP guidelines
- Support radiation protection activities in line with JSP 392 – Management of Radiation Protection in Defence
- Ensure systems comply with the UK Control of Electromagnetic Fields at Work Regulations 2016
- Interpret and apply the EU EMF Directive (2013/35/EU) within system design, installation and operational contexts
