Job Description
Amentum is seeking a Operations & Maintenance Electronics or SONAR Technician to work aboard government operated Surveillance Towed Array Sensory System (SURTASS) asset operating at sea. Technicians will be on a 6 month on and 6 month off rotating mission.
As a member of the SURTASS Operation Center (SOC) and the SURTASS team, you will be responsible for the following:
+ Perform operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting on all SURTASS mission equipment in accordance with Periodic Maintenance Schedule (PMS) and other reference documents in support of fleet requirements.
+ Opportunity to work on SHF SATCOM Communications, Processing, Passive and Active Arrays and other supporting systems.
+ Complete basic qualified in SURTASS Operation Center and Array Operation positions and participate in the deployment and retrieval of Tow Arrayed evolutions and all other SURTASS operations.
