Job Description
We are looking for a Tax Accountant who will be responsible for local taxation matters, including tax calculations, tax return filings, and compliance with tax authorities.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns (FBR, SRB, PRA and other provincial authorities)
- Calculating income, sales, withholding and other local taxes
- Ensuring timely tax payments and maintaining payment records (including Challan generation)
- Maintaining tax compliance calendars with all filing/payment deadlines (federal and provincial)
- Tracking compliance activities for audit readiness, and setting reminders and buffer periods to meet deadlines and avoid penalties
- Reconciling tax balances with general ledger and accounting records
- Resolving discrepancies between tax filings and internal data
