Job Description

Teaching Assistant, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Your general location of work will be the College of Engineering and you will report to the instructor(s) responsible for the course. You must be able to be physically present for the duration of the semester.

In the appointment of Teaching Assistant, your general duties and responsibilities will be assigned by the Instructor(s) and may include one or more of the following:

  • Marking assignments;

  • Marking laboratory logbooks and/or reports;

  • Marking quizzes and/or exams;

  • Holding tutorials and/or staffing a Help Desk for students;

  • Assisting with general administration of the course such as email communications with students regarding assignments, and recording grades

  • Demonstrating and/or assisting with the demonstration of laboratories;

  • Monitoring safety in the laboratory in cooperation with the instructor(s);
