Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced and values‑driven Hospital Team Manager to lead the Local Authority hospital social work team at North Tyneside General Hospital. The role is critical in ensuring timely, strengths‑based assessments and safe, well‑planned discharges for residents, while supporting patient flow across the health and care system.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop a hospital‑based adult social care team, ensuring statutory duties under the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act and other legislation are met.
- Provide professional supervision, support and performance management for staff.
- Oversee complex casework, offering guidance on risk, safeguarding and legal frameworks.
- Ensure timely assessments, discharge planning, and effective use of community resources.
