- Be part of a nationally significant marine observing network supporting world‑class coastal science.
- Work hands‑on with high‑frequency radar systems across Australia’s coastline.
- Full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis until 30th June 2027.
- Base salary range: $95,231 – $100,643 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
This is an opportunity to join the IMOS Ocean Radar Facility within the Coastal Oceanography group at UWA. The Facility operates shore-based High Frequency radar systems, including WERA and CODAR SeaSonde, to measure surface currents at sites around Australia.
The Coastal Oceanography group undertakes research on coastal physical processes and their influence on biological, geological, and climate-related processes across the continental shelf, nearshore zone, and estuaries, using field observations, remote sensing, and numerical modelling.
