Flender South Africa is seeking a Mechanical Draughtsperson to join our engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Drawing Preparation & Accuracy: create accurate and detailed drawings for repair and service procedures, assembly drawings, and bill of materials.
- Calculate gear parameters such as module, pitch, pressure angle, gear ratios, tooth strength, contact stress, and load distribution to ensure optimal performance and durability.
- Measure or calculate detail of geared components for manufacture and foundation loadings of drive packs.
- Ensure that all outputs from the Drawing Department conform to required technical standards and specifications.
- Re‑engineer gearbox components.
- Collaborate with repair technicians and engineers to interpret drawings and specifications for repair processes.
