Job Description
*Position Summary* The selected applicant for this position executes assignments for the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of the voice, data, video, and software related to all MassDOT communication, electronic and Intelligent Traffic System (“ITS”) including, but not limited to: two-way radio, fiber optic, telephone private branch exchange, programmable controllers, tunnel ventilation, carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon gas monitoring, local field controllers, remote terminal units, overhead and portable variable message signs, emergency telephone, automatic gates, highway advisory radio traffic and security video, security access control, integrated project control system, real-time traffic monitoring and ancillary electronic equipment. Work with all MassDOT departments and agencies: electrical, maintenance, State Police, toll, administration, RMV, MBTA, EMS, BFD, BPD, DCR, and various other personnel, to insure continuous operation of all equipment.
