Job Description
This team manages all import shipments into Cape Town & Durban from various suppliers globally mainly China and India. Within the team we have an import controlling function which receive documents, open shipments files and invoice necessary charges. This includes accurate cost accrual and charge capturing. Manage the movement of cargo from destination port to delivery point and ensure proactive communication flows to customers and service providers
Duties and responsibilities Capturing of charges in CW1 Tracking of shipments Following up and retrieving shipping documents after sailing from origin offices Engage origin offices and carriers regarding forwarding of shipments Registration and invoicing of shipments on Cargo Wise Following up on carrier invoices and ANFs Checking vendor invoices and raising queries as required.
