TIG Welder - 2nd Shift/3rd Shift

Howmet Aerospace is looking for a TIG Welder in LaPorte, IN for **2nd **and **3rd **Shifts! This role will work to production weld and/or weld repair castings, dies, molds, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment per weld procedures and customer specifications.

**Salary

**

• The starting rate is $27.07 /hr., after 12 months - $28.39/hr.

**Schedule

**

• Training will be Monday-Friday on 1st Shift (6am-2pm) for up to 6 months. After training, will transition to 2nd (2pm-10pm) or 3rd Shift (10pm-6am).

**Job Responsibilities

**

• Weld repair / production weld (fabrication weld) castings to 'Class A' requirements (FPI and X-Ray acceptance).
• Occasional maintenance and fixture welding on various alloys including aluminum.
• Fabrication of copper backups used to perform welds.
