Job Description
Location: Montrose
Hours: 4 days on, 4 days off – split between day and night, 46 hours per week
Contract: Ongoing – Temporary
Pay: £28 per hour
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding on duplex stainless steels and Inconel clad carbon steel in line with approved WPS
- Fabricate and weld pipe spools (¾–9 OD) to tight tolerances, ensuring correct alignment, sound root fusion, and full penetration
- Work in compliance with ASME Section IX, EN ISO 15614, EN ISO 9606, or equivalent company‑approved welding qualification standards
- Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, fabrication drawings, weld maps, and WPS/PQR documentation
- Carry out all stages of weld preparation including joint fit‑up, bevel inspection, purge planning/setup, and consumable control
