Job Description
PGS Worldwide is seeking a Tool Design Engineer in Palmdale, CA for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role designs industrial machinery and production/experimental tooling—tools, dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, and machine attachments—while leading process improvements across tool design and planning flow. You will use 3DX/CATIA to develop designs and create 2D technical drawings, and you will act as a liaison across design, manufacturing, engineering, and tooling procurement to manage quality, cost, and schedule considerations.
Required Skills
Secret security clearance and ability to obtain SAP within 6 weeks of submission
Recent experience with CATIA V5 or 3DX (minimum 1 year within the last 5 years)
7+ years of experience designing structures or tooling in CAD
