POSITION GOAL
We are seeking a skilled Tool Designer to support the development and production of bus structures. In this role, you will design and develop tooling solutions that ensure the fit, form, function, and repeatability of structural components. You will create tools, fixtures, patterns, gauges, and specialized equipment to meet production requirements, while also providing hands‑on support to manufacturing teams across all production lines. This position plays a key role in driving quality, efficiency, and consistency throughout the build process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Produce drawings to New Flyer drafting standards for all plants and vendors.
- Adapt to new methods, processes, material, and equipment.
- Design tools, fixtures, jigs, patterns, gauges, and special tooling aids for operations on production parts.
